QA Lead

Location: All Latam - remote

Our client is looking for a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our IT team, reporting to the CTO. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive testing plans for their software, ensuring high-quality releases, and potentially hiring and training QA resources to work with you. You will follow trends in QA methodologies and implement best practices to promote efficient and effective software testing.

Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of strong experience of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Confluence).

  • Previous experience in a leadership role overseeing and managing teams.

  • Previous experience working with ERP systems is highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and continuous improvement experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personality types.

  • Ability to understand technical issues at a high level.

  • Ability to perform work with a high degree of latitude.

  • Handles complex issues and possesses expert knowledge of subject matter.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and identify needed information through research.

Responsibilities:

  • Within 1st 30 Days: Gain understanding of our software architecture and development process, and familiarize yourself with our current QA tools and processes.

  • Within 60 Days: Develop a comprehensive testing strategy and plan for current and upcoming projects, and identify key areas for improvement in our existing QA process.

  • Within 90 Days: Implement the testing strategy, ensuring thorough coverage and efficient execution, and begin identifying potential QA resources and plan for their onboarding and training.

  • Within 6 Months: Build and lead a small team of QA resources, ensuring they are well-trained and integrated into the development process, and establish key performance metrics for the QA team.

  • Within 12 Months: Continuously refine QA processes based on metrics and feedback, ensuring all software releases meet high-quality standards, and mentor and develop QA team members for continued growth and success.
